Far Rockaway man arrested for Inwood robbery

One of the two men who allegedly robbed a 31-year-old man near the Inwood Long Island Rail Road station last month was arrested by police officers from Nassau County’s Major Case Bureau on May 11.

Police said that the man was walking near the Inwood train station at 5:50 a.m. on April 26, when he was approached by two men. According to police, Brandon Secreto, 16, of Redfern Avenue in Far Rockaway and another man armed with a knife approached the victim and demanded his cash, wallet and cell phone.

After he complied with their demands, they left the scene on foot in the direction of the Redfern Apartments in Far Rockaway. No injuries were reported.

Secreto was charged with one count of robbery-third degree and one count menacing-second degree.
