Five Towners assist with multiple sclerosis fundraiser

Mallory and Amara Brenner, mother and daughter, became involved with the Multiple Sclerosis Society after Mallory’s brother was diagnosed with the disease that attacks the central nervous system and disrupts the flow of information within the brain and between the brain and body.

“My uncle is a true role model,” Amara said. “Regardless of how badly he might be feeling he is always so happy and focused on the positive. He has never stopped giving and cares so much about his family. I know that modeling for the MS event will make a difference, raise money and most importantly make him proud.”

Overall, more than $100,000 was raised at the Runway for MS Fashion Show Luncheon at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury on March 8. The luncheon once again celebrated real people with real stories — honoring those who are living with MS, as well as caregivers and volunteers, through an exciting fashion show sponsored by Lord & Taylor, TD Bank and Grassi & Co.
