Five Towns on the dean's list

Kristen Kelly, of Atlantic Beach, and Luis Jan, from Inwood, were named to the fall semester dean’s list for the University of Scranton. Kelly is a freshman in the university’s Panuska College of Professional Studies and Jan is a junior finance major in the school’s Kania School of Management.
Students attain the honor by having a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Hewlett residents Jason Leonhard and Mia Shmariahu had GPAs of 3.5 or better and made the fall semester dean’s list at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa.
Freshman Graciela Cruz, of Inwood, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the College of Saint Rose in Albany.
The University of Hartford announced that Nia Flake-Brunston, from Hewlett, and Ellin Gurvitch, of Lawrence, earned dean’s list honors for the fall semester.
Casie Lee Marra, a Woodmere resident, was named to the to the dean’s list at James Madison University for the fall semester. Marra is a psychology major. The distinction is earned by carrying at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899.
