Award-winning advertiser H. Robert Greenbaum, a lifelong Five Towns resident who has lived in Hewlett and Woodmere, added another trophy to his collection as he received the 2019 Communicator Award for an ad campaign spotlighting AIG, the global insurance company, for Woodmere-based Gale Martin Advertising.

Greenbaum is no stranger to taking home awards as his resume includes eight Clios, the world’s most recognizable advertising awards, according to Time magazine; eight ANDYs, traditionally a predictor of other industry awards; three Effies, a half dozen Ad Age Top Spots and four Art Director’s Club awards, and more.

Before working for Gale Martin, Greenbaum was the senior creative director at BBDO/NY for 20 years, a commercial television writer for Visa, FedEx, GE, Mountain Dew and many more. He has lent a hand, gratis, for the Humpty Dumpty Institute that is among the nation’s premier frontline organizations in the battle against the international landmine epidemic.
