Go on a ‘blind date’ with a book from Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library

Posted

Throughout February, the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library is running its second “Blind Date with a Book” program. The goal is to help people discover new favorite books and amazing authors. Everyone is welcome to get involved.

Readers can choose a wrapped book from a carefully selected collection with only a few clues as to what’s inside. Each “date” may be mysterious, romantic, lighthearted, deep, or adventurous, but not to worry; it will never be a “dud!”

After the date, participants can engage in “kiss and tell” and let the librarians know how the date went by filling out the Rate Your Date card included with the book. Those who return the card to the Information Desk will be entered for a chance to win a prize.

The deadline to submit the cards is Saturday, March 1. A winner will be chosen at random and notified the week of March 4. For more information, call HWPL (516) 374-1967.
