Fair HAFTR pre-k celebrates 100 school days

HAFTR pre-kindergartners commemorated the 100th day of school with several counting activities.

Learning how to count put pre-kindergartners at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway on the path to 100, and they marked the 100th day of school by counting to the century mark by 10s, 5s and 1s.
The students, who are counting down the days until they become kindergartners, also clapped 100 times, jumped 100 times, stomped their feet 100 times and took 100 steps to see where they would end up.
In addition, since the first day of school, a penny a day was placed in a jar to learn the concepts of zero, “plus one”, more and less, and heavy and light. Each student even wrote a book all about the concept of 100.
