Hewlett restaurant robbed

An unspecified amount of money was stolen from the Xaga Sushi restaurant at 1330 Broadway in Hewlett at about  8 p.m. on Oct. 25, according to police.

After a restaurant employee, a man, 35, discovered that the money was missing from the business’s basement, the police were called. The subsequent investigation found that a woman, described as black, got into the restaurant through a back door. She allegedly took the money and left in a white-colored vehicle. The direction was undetermined.
