Posted

Bonei Olam, a worldwide nonprofit that provides millions of dollars in assistance to cover the prohibitive costs of fertility treatments and medical procedures, was recognized by Town of Hempstead Councilman Bruce Blakeman during A Night in the Shtetl in Lawrence on Aug. 12. A shtetl described a small Jewish community in Eastern Europe.

There are 18 regional Bonei Olam chapters in five countries. To date, more than 5,000 children have been brought into the world through the financial assistance and resources provided by Bonei Olam, which was founded in 1999.
