Kevin O’Rourke memorial scholarships presented in Lawrence

Nine students from Five Towns schools received Kevin O’Rourke memorial scholarships. In the photo were O’Rourke’s mother Hannah, his wife Mary Ann, daughters Corinne and Jamie, grandson Kevin and extended family members and fireman from the LCFD.

The Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department and the O’Rourke family presented the annual Kevin O’Rourke scholarship to nine students on May 26.

O’Rourke was a volunteer firefighter with the LCFD and a FDNY fireman assigned to Rescue 2. He was one of the half dozen Five Towns residents killed in 9/11.
