A Few Clouds Lawrence Elementary School students show off their talents

Lawrence schools
Singing and dancing and a trombone player highlighted the inaugural Lawrence Elementary School talent show held in the gymnasium of the Lawrence Primary School at the Number Two School in Inwood on Feb. 2.
Organized by Alana Fishman and Ila Caparatta, the show included 24 acts with 32 students in grades three, four and five, who performed songs ranging from the Frank Sinatra classic “Fly Me to the Moon” to Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song.”
The children danced to Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me” and “Get It Poppin’” by Fat Joe. Sergio Escalante played the “Star Wars” theme on his trombone. Prizes were raffled off to raise money for educational activities and trips.
