Lawrence student named Student of the Quarter

Iris Guevara-Inbriano, a Lawrence School District, was named a Student of the Quarter at Nassau BOCES Barry Tech Career and Technical Education High School in Westbury. Guevara-Inbriano was recognized for her grades, attendance and work ethic.

The Board of Cooperative Educational Services of Nassau County was founded in 1967 with the goal of supplementing public education and offering additional paths for students of all ages. BOCES serves 56 county school districts.

Barry Tech operates as a career and technical education high school designed to help students cultivate the necessary skills for their career path and get a leg up through more than 40 different engaging courses ranging from aviation to culinary arts. Locations such as airplane hangars and video production studios, serve as classrooms for students. After completing their studies, graduates can then choose to pursue a degree at a two- or four-year university or enter the workforce.
