Man robbed in Inwood at gunpoint

Police are looking for a man who allegedly pulled a black handgun from a black fanny pack that was around his waist and robbed another man at 5:35 a.m. in Inwood on Sept. 1, according to police.

Fourth Squad detectives said a man was working on his vehicle in a parking lot at 83 Doughty Blvd., when he was approached from behind by another man. The man then turned to face the alleged thief and found a gun pointed at him and was forced to give the man everything in his pockets.

It is unclear in which direction the man fled. He is described as black, roughly 5-8, weighing 130 pounds and wearing blue jeans and a green shirt. No injuries were reported and the police are investigating.
