North Shore Hebrew Academy High School in Great Neckheadmaster voted the best school principal on Long Island

Dr. Daniel Vitow, the founding headmaster of North Hebrew Academy High School in Great Neck, was voted the Best School Principal in Bethpage Federal Credit Union’s Best of Long Island contest. Vitow is the first principal of a Jewish Day School to win this distinction.

Vitow, founded the modern Jewish Orthodox high school in 2000. It has an enrollment of more than 440 students in grades nine to 12, of which, 10 percent live in the Five Towns.

The school integrates Jewish and general studies that includes world heritage, science, literature. Art and athletics. Along with the dedication to education, Vitow and his teachers aim to impart its students with a commitment to chesed, a Hebrew word that describes acts of kindness and generosity.
