Lifelong Cedarhurst resident Andrew Goldsmith, who ran unopposed for village justice on March 21, won by 277 votes and six write in votes, according to Cedarhurst Village Administrator Sal Evola. This is his second four-year term as village justice after previously serving as acting village justice for nine years.
“It is a privilege to be nominated by the Citizen's Party and I am deeply honored to enjoy the support of so many fellow residents, colleagues and friends,” Goldsmith said.
He is the third generation of lifelong Cedarhurst residents. He said his grandfather Arthur Goldsmith moved to the village in 1934. His father was raised in a house three blocks from where he currently lives with his family.
