Shane McCaffrey dies at 23

Hewlett resident Shane McCaffrey died on March 30. He was 23.
A 2006 graduate of Hewlett High School, McCaffrey was described by his mother Nancy Frontino as “fun loving” and “having a heart of gold and someone that would do anything for his friends and family.”
His death is still under police investigation, Frontino said.
In addition to his mother, McCaffrey is survived by his stepfather Anthony Frontino, his father and stepmother Donald and Barbara McCaffrey, brothers CJ McCaffrey and Jeff Neidecker, grandmother Josephine Fusco, aunt and uncle Janis and Mike McDonnell, aunt and uncle Natalie and Peter Fusco and a cousin, Jamie Larrocco.
Services were held at Donza Funeral Homes in East Rockaway on April 2.
