St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway partners with Alteon Health

St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, the only hospital on the Rockaway Peninsula that also serves the Five Towns, has partnered with Alteon Health to provide management and staffing services within the Far Rockaway facility’s emergency medicine program.

Medical Director Dr. Teddy Lee will lead St. John’s emergency department. Alteon Health, described as a physician-led group, has been providing services to health systems across the United States for nearly 50 years, hospital officials said.

“In the short time they have been at the hospital, I have been impressed by their level of engagement in interdisciplinary projects to improve patient throughput (moving through the emergency process) and performance metrics, and their strong alignment with strategic organizational goals,” St. John’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Donald Morrish stated in a news release.
