Cedarhurst-based Kulanu Academy’s Center for Special Services prepared for the new school year, as the administrative staff meet on Aug. 16.

Keeping up with the growth rate of services and programs offered at Kulanu is no small task, officials said, but Executive Director Dr. Beth Raskin and her staff embrace the challenge.

As the staff as excited as they prepared their new offices, classrooms and multi-purpose rooms throughout the expanding Kulanu campus. Raskin views her staff like the inner workings of a fine watch with each person having an “intricate and important role and when working together, much like the interlocking mechanical gears within your timepiece, our mission is being achieved; enabling each individual to reach his or her full potential, empowering each one to become a participating and accepted member of society, with a good quality of life and a hopeful future.”
