Two authors at library friends lunch at the Seawane Club

Authors Bridget Davis and Ron Fassler will attend the annual Hewlett-Woodmere Friends of the Library lunch on Tuesday, June 11 at 11:30 a.m., at the Seawane Country Club at 1300 Club Drive in Hewlett Harbor.

Davis, a successful novelist, essayist, teacher, filmmaker and curator, will discuss her first nonfiction book, “The World According to Fannie Davis,” a memoir set in the 1960s and ’70s of Detroit, when her mother used the lottery to support her family.

Fassler, a film and television actor and author, best known for his role as the LAPD captain, Bryan Grazer in the TV series “Alien Nation, ” compiled his book “Up in the Cheap Seats, A Historical Memoir of Broadway” in the past four years.

Registrations forms are sat HWPL’s information desk, which can be mailed back to the library. Kosher meals are available.
