The Supreme Court has its first Monday in October, when it begins hearing cases during a new court calendar year, and the newly established court in the Village of Hewlett Neck held it’s inaugural court session with Justice Mitchell Dix presiding over three cases that involved village ordinance violations in the third week of October.

Lawrence resident Stanley Kopilow, appointed by the board of trustees, is the village’s prosecuting attorney, and Karen Quintavalle, Hewlett Neck’s deputy clerk, serves as the court clerk. Court is held in Village Hall at 30 Piermont Ave. in Hewlett.
