Cindy Grosz, of Woodmere, was one of several Five Towns residents who attended the opening of the United States Embassy in Jerusalem on May 14. She noted that people had to take a bus and pass through two security areas before entering the event location.

In addition to seeing the historic event, Grosz visited with U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, from Woodsburgh, who she has known for years. She was with Rabbi Zalman Wolowik, the spiritual leader of the Chabad of the Five Towns, who spoke during the opening ceremony.

Grosz was on the same bus to the embassy as Mike Huckabee and his wife, Janet. The former Arkansas governor will be joining a special trip to Israel this summer that Grosz is also taking part in. She said a few spots remain, contact her through the National Council of Young Israel.

Grosz also meet up with Judge Jeannine Pirro and Fox News correspondent Harris Faulkner.
