A Woodmere woman and a man from Far Rockaway were arrested on April 30 for possession and selling drugs after a non-fatal overdose that occurred in Woodmere last Sunday, police said.

Narcotics Vice Squad and Fourth Squad detectives were investigating the non-fatal overdose, and that lead to the arrest of Jennifer Pfeiffer, 41, a resident of Long Worth Avenue. Allegedly, Pfeiffer sold crack cocaine to the victim, which lead to the overdose, according to police.

Pfeiffer was arrested at 8:45 p.m. in Valley Stream on April 30. A white rocklike substance believed to be crack cocaine was found on her person. During a search of her home, police recovered 7.5 grams of a white rocklike substance believed to be crack cocaine and five glassine envelopes containing a tannish powdery substance thought to be heroin.

The investigation lead police to arrest Edwin Dejesus, 65, of Mott Avenue, Far Rockaway at 10:15 p.m. in Inwood on April 30. Dejesus agreed to sell heroin to another person. Subsequent to the arrest, police recovered a total of 73 glassine envelopes believed to be heroin from Dejesus.

Pfeiffer is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance-third degree, fourth-degree and seventh-degree and criminal sale of a controlled substance-third degree. Dejesus is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance-third degree and criminal sale of a controlled substance-third degree.
