Nassau County police arrested a New Hyde Park man on July 11 in connection with a string of local robberies, including one at a Franklin Square Dairy Barn on July 9.

According to police, Michael P. Daddario, 26, had just robbed the Mr. Sudz Laundromat on Hillside Avenue in New Hyde park — his sixth heist in less than two weeks — when he was arrested. Police said that Daddario committed robberies in Floral Park, New Hyde Park and Franklin Square between June 29 and July 11.

According to detectives, the series of robberies began on June 29 at 12:34 p.m. at the TD Bank on Jericho Turnpike in Floral Park, where he demanded money from a teller and fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash.

On July 7 at 1:30 p.m., police said, Daddario entered the Dairy Barn on Hillside Avenue in New Hyde Park, demanded money from a clerk, and again made off with cash.

Two days later, at 11:55 a.m., Daddario robbed another Dairy Barn — this time on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square — in the same manner, according to police. Later that day, at 7:20 p.m., Daddario entered the Baskin Robbins on Hillside Avenue in New Hyde Park, snatched a $100 bill from a customer’s hand and left the store.

Just past noon on July 10, police said, Daddario returned to the New Hyde Park Dairy Barn he had robbed three days earlier and stole money from the cash register after what police described as a brief scuffle with a store clerk.

Then, a day later, just before he was arrested, Daddario stole a jar of cash from the New Hyde Park laundromat. NCPD Robbery Squad detectives, Bureau of Special Operations officers, Floral Park Police and 3rd Precinct officers began a search following that robbery, and found and arrested Daddario on the roof of a business on Cherry Lane.

He was charged with four counts of third-degree robbery, once count of grand larceny and one count of petit larceny, and arraigned on July 12 at First District Court in Hempstead.
