Carey Participates in Memory Project

Students in Jonathan Kaufman’s Advanced Placement Studio Art class at H. Frank Carey High School created portraits of orphans from Ghana, West Africa through a program known as the Memory Project.

The students each received a photo of a child who currently lives in an orphanage in Ghana and created works of art based on the photos. Their artwork was then sent to Ben Shumaker, founder of the Memory Project, to be hand delivered to the orphans in Ghana who will receive them as a keepsake.
