Turato got ahead 1-and-2, but Wallace shortened up her swing a bit and battled. She fouled off four pitches while working the count full before dropping down the bunt that would give the Golden Flashes their sixth Long Island crown.

Carey, which returns every player next season, fared well when the postseason honorees were announced. Turato earned All-County recognition and was named the MVP of the Nassau Class A playoffs, freshman Brianna Pinto and sophomore Amanda Ulzheimer, each who hit .375 in league play, and Vilchez were also All-County selections. Junior Ruth Rodriguez and Jacobs picked up All-County honorable mention, and sophomore Samantha Romanello earned All-Conference recognition.
