Chamber gives thanks to ‘Life’s WORC’

Stacey Astachovsky, director of Customized Employment at Life’s WORC, gave a presentation to the Franklin Square Chamber of Commerce on March 19. Astachovsky presented on how to assist individuals in obtaining gainful employment through innovative job development and matching the skills of individuals to the needs of businesses.

First Vice President of the Franklin Square Chamber Bruno M. Caracciolo thanked her for her presentation, which was held at Cinelli’s Restaurant in Franklin Square.

As the director of customized employment, Astachovsky provides support and services to individuals with disabilities who would like to gain long-term employment to a competitive work force. They do this work though, “innovation and person-centered,” tactics, said Astachovsky.

Life’s WORC, which is over 43 years old, is dedicated to providing meaningful lives to those with developmental disabilities.
