Seven business students from H. Frank Carey High School in Franklin Square participated in the annual Long Island Business Teachers Association contest on April 16 — and all of them took home awards.

The contest, held at Commack High School, was comprised of over 250 students and 20 school districts from Nassau and Suffolk counties. Seven students from Carey competed and were awarded distinctions in business-related categories.

Gianna Zacharias won first-place in computer applications, Lisa Goldschmidt won second-place in business law, Toriann Monaco won second-place in accounting, Timothy Whitfield won second-place in math and financial applications, Michael Campagna won fifth-place in accounting, Rebecca Beers won fifth-place in word processing and Stephanie Sassos won fifth-place in marketing.

All seven students will attend an awards luncheon in Deer Park on May 21.
