Franklin Square resident Felix Procacci, who will challenge Town Supervisor Kate Murray for her position.

“I am excited to be running on my solid record of reducing taxes and maintaining the finest municipal services anywhere,” she said. “At the same time as my administration has earned the highest Wall Street credit ratings available, I am committed to revitalizing downtowns, encouraging reasonable development, stimulating the economy and helping homeowners and businesses who are recovering from Hurricane Sandy. I look forward to discussing the issues that have distinguished Hempstead as the finest place in which to live and work with my opponent and residents.”

Procacci said that running for town supervisor is something he feels he has to do. “I’m hesitant because I’m not a political guy, but hopefully I can bring a change to the town government,” he said. “[Murray] is hypocritical and a phony. I’m a truth teller. I’m a reporter.”
