Ronnie Thomas of Salon Montaáge was honored at the Nassau County Council of Chambers breakfast as the Oceanside Chamber’s Small Businessperson of the Year. Ronnie has been in the hair business for more than 40 years. Ronnie, the owner of Salon Montaáge, has held many fundraisers to benefit local charities and has trained other cosmetologists who have gone on to open their own salons.

The Island Park Chamber of Commerce named the Natalello family, the owners of Jack’s Pizzeria as Island Park’s Small Businessperson of the year. They have operated Jack’s since 2011 and rebuilt after Hurricane Sandy hit. The business itself has been in existence for over 45 years and remains a fixture in the Island Park community. The Natalello family, Nate, Josephine, Chuck, and Michelle plan to uphold that tradition for years to come. They plan to expand to the storefront next door in the near future. Also honored were Doris Gralitzer of Doris the Florist by the Island Park Business and Residential Chamber, and Les Jacobs of the Island Park Car Wash and Detail Center, by the Long Beach Chamber.

The breakfast was held at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
