Re-elect Town Councilman Ed Ambrosino

Posted

In the race for the board seat in the Town of Hempstead’s 2nd District, Republican Councilman Ed Ambrosino’s experience and knowledge make him the strongest candidate. Given his legal expertise, his extensive involvement in town and county government and his impressive record of participation in community organizations, he clearly deserves to be re-elected.

Ambrosino’s idea of establishing a quality-of-life court is an interesting one, offering a concrete way to deal with issues that have an impact on the lives of town residents — who, after all, pay high taxes to remain in their homes, and deserve a lifestyle that reflects their investment.

He focuses on the bigger economic projects that hold the most promise for the region, like the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The area is ripe for projects that would breathe life into its communities, and Ambrosino has the know-how and connections to make them happen.

His challenger, Democrat Tammie Williams, is a passionate, personable and well-educated resident who has proven her commitment to bettering her community as a trustee of the Elmont Public Library and a highly active volunteer. She is forward-thinking, and grasps the evolving nature of her town. She has all the initiative, smarts and chutzpah necessary for public office. We thank her for her candidacy and look forward to following her progress as she continues to be a force in her community.

Ambrosino’s service to date, however, is solid and deserves its due, which is another term. We encourage voters to re-elect him.
