Robbery in Franklin Square

The Major Case Bureau reports the details of a bank robbery that occurred on Monday, April 6, at 9:10 in the morning in Franklin Square.

According to detectives, a man armed with a handgun entered the Citibank at 670 Franklin Ave. and demanded money from a teller.

After being given an unspecified amount of cash, the suspect fled out the rear door of the bank and headed north toward the Franklin Gates shopping center.

There were five employees and five customers present at the time of the Robbery. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described by police as having a thin build, 5’7” to 5’10”, wearing a gray hoodie-style sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, gloves and a dark colored mask.
