Stewart Manor School’s administrators, teachers and families recognized the outstanding achievements of students in grades 4-6 at the school’s annual awards assembly.

During the ceremony, students were honored with awards for community service, academics, physical education, art, music and technology, just to name a few. In addition, the assembly acknowledged students who served as Model UN delegates in the district’s Lee Marcus Model United Nations Conference and those who participated in Math Olympiads and the Safety Patrol Program.

Other notable recognition went to sixth-graders Samuel Brugger and Karina Thomas, who were awarded the New York State Comptroller Achievement Award and to the 28 recipients of the National Association of Elementary School Principals American Citizenship award, which was given to students who displayed a positive attitude toward their classmates and took part in school and community service. Principal Hope Kranidis and Assistant Principal Michele Caponi-Sajecki congratulated all of the students on their achievements and commended them for their contributions to the school and their community.
