Teem robbed at gunpoint in F.S. park

An 18-year-old male was robbed at a Franklin Square park the morning of Memorial Day, police said.

According to 4th Squad detectives, the victim was standing in front of the bathroom at Averill Boulevard Park, located at 145 Averill Boulevard, at 10:05 a.m. Police said that an unknown black man ran up to the victim and pointed a silver handgun at him while demanding money and his cell-phone. The victim complied, and the man ran north through the park with the proceeds. There were no injuries reported. No further description of the man was provided.
