As the largest network of urgent care facilities on Long Island, Premier Care now has 12 locations with more to come. Newest is Premier Care of East Meadow, housed in a in a stand-alone, beautifully renovated building. Overseeing the entire staff and facility is Dr. Steve Samuel.

These state-of-the-art facilities are open to adults and children for walk-in (no appointments) medical care, 365 days a week, with evening hours as well. All doctors at Premier Care are board certified emergency room physicians.

Urgent care offers a perfect alternative to going to a hospital emergency room, or when one needs a bridge between doctor appointments. Who hasn’t had an inconvenient medical crisis on a Sunday, holiday or in the evening?

Premier Care is equipped to handle a wide range of health care needs, from injuries to common illnesses, to vaccinations. Whether it’s an ear, sinus, or upper respiratory infection, a stomach flu, migraine, dehydration, insect or animal bite, nosebleed, or a skin condition, they can prescribe medication and/or treat as indicated. They also can treat sprains, cuts, muscle spasms, dislocations, and minor fractures.

On premises are digital X-rays and laboratory services. Stitches can be administered if needed. In addition to offering flu or tetanus shots, Premier Care can provide travel vaccinations, and employment or immigration physical exams. Emergency dental care is available too.

Premier Care accepts most insurance plans. Co-payments are much less than for hospital emergency rooms. Each facility is clean, stylish, spacious and comfortable. Waiting is usually minimal. In addition to Long Island, Premier Care also has locations in Queens and Brooklyn.

This November will mark the grand opening of Premier Care in Long Beach — a city where medical care is now desperately needed. Since Hurricane Sandy, when Long Beach lost its only hospital, people have been unable to get emergency care as quickly as they should. This new facility, located in the West End, will certainly fill that void.
