Vincent Muscarella has won another term to the Nassau County Legislature, as he won re-election against challenger Barbara Hafner on Nov. 5. As of press time Tuesday night, Muscarella had 9,489 votes and Hafner had 4,727.
Muscarella has been a member of the legislature since it was founded in 1996, serving the district, which encompasses Franklin Square, West Hempstead and portions of Elmont.
“It’s very gratifying that all the work I’ve done on behalf of the district has led to me being re-elected again,” Muscarella said on election night. He added that he would like to focus more on infrastructure in his next term, noting, "the roads and sewage need to be at a higher standard."
