Elvis Tribute Artist Spectacular
That celebrated jumpsuit makes an appearance in the form of Shawn Klush and Cody Ray Slaughter two of the entertainment industry’s top Elvis impersonators who share the King’s legacy in their inimitable style during this popular concert spectacle. The premiere tribute show of its kind it celebrates the era by era musical career of the iconic entertainer. From the early rockabilly and military years, to his time in the movies, to the amazing ‘68 comeback special and the black leather jumpsuit, to his Las Vegas concert era — nothing is left out. In addition to Klush and Slaughter’s uncanny impersonations, the show also stars Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer DJ Fontana, Elvis’ original drummer for 14 years; The Sweet Inspirations, Elvis’ original back-up singers from the ‘70s Vegas years; and local Elvis impersonator Steve Mitchell.
Saturday, Aug. 23, 8 p.m. $40 and $50. NYCB Theatre at Westbury, 960 Brush Hollow Rd., Westbury. (800) 745-3000 or www.livenation.com.
