Police: Two men wanted for a gunpoint robbery

The First Squad of Nassau County Police Department is looking for leads on a robbery that happened in Freeport on Sept. 27 at 11:55 p.m. Police identified the victim as a 55-year-old man who was approached by two unknown Hispanic men in the rear municipal parking lot at 70 South Main Street in Freeport.

According to police, one of the men displayed a handgun. The victim got on the floor as the suspects took his backpack from him. They kicked him, took an undisclosed amount of money, his keys and fled in a dark gray BMW.

The men are described as Hispanic between the ages of 20-25; approximately 5’9” tall with medium builds. One of the men was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and the second had a mustache and goatee.


Detectives request anyone with information on the incident to call Crime Stoppers, 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers remain anonymous.
