NICE bus service to Jones Beach will begin over the Memorial Day weekend with the n88 out of the Freeport LIRR station, on May 25. Non-stop service from Freeport to the beach will be provided for the holiday weekend Friday through Monday, May 28, including the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach.

Daily summer service to the beach will resume June 23 and run through Labor Day. NICE will also offer late-night concert service for the Warped Tour and Billboard Hot 100 shows at the Jones Beach Theater scheduled for July and August.

Buses will operate every 30 minutes, departing from the Freeport LIRR station from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; the last bus will depart from the beach for the train station at 8:55 p.m. The bus will stop at the beach’s two bathhouses and the Central Mall. The one-way fare is $2.75.

Jones Beach features a host of family attractions, including a swimming pool, a miniature golf course and expansive beaches with a two-mile boardwalk. The park features 6.5 miles of ocean beaches and a half-mile bay beach for still-water bathing. Jones Beach is also home to the Theodore Roosevelt Nature Center, which offers educational tours and programs for all ages.
