Morgan James steps out from Broadway to the concert stage

The actress-vocalist, who appeared in the Broadway productions of “Motown” and “Godspell,” has emnbarked on a concert tour, with Andy Allo. The chanteuse brings her soulful voice to the stage, showcasing songs from her latest album “Reckless Abandon,” a follow-up to her 2014 debut album “Hunter. Her collection of 12 original, co-penned tracks with writers from LA to NYC to Nashville, and in between, showcases her powerhouse voice and soulful poise. The result is a fusion of pop, funk, and R&B with a classic approach. James is acclaimed for impassioned performances, displaying a virtuosic vocal range that spans from sultry to spontaneous and controlled, which enthralls critics and audiences.

Red Riding Hood

Mike Kenny’s innovative musical adaptation of “Little Red Riding Hood” returns to the Long Island Children’s Museum stage. Siblings on a sleepover at their grandmother’s house have trouble falling in asleep, so to pass the time, Bridget and Stephen decide to act out their favorite story with items found in their room. Soon what’s real and what’s imagined begins to blur, and the children find themselves in the deep dark woods with a wolf tracking them down. Settle in for an interactive take on the beloved fairy tale, in this lively performance that brings a new meaning to ‘storytime’.

Laura Ingalls Wilder
The beloved author’s uplifting story comes to life in a new musical adventure. Based on Wilder’s own childhood experiences, which she began recording in her 60s, young audiences can share in the adventures of the spirited pioneer girl and her family. Journey with Laura and her family as they travel across America in search of a place they can call home. Facing obstacles such as scarlet fever and eviction from their land, their pioneering spirit and family bonds are tested but never broken.
