Back-to-School greetings from the Board of Education

The Board of Education and I are delighted to welcome back our students, families and staff to the 2018-19 school year. Last year was filled with incredible learning experiences and opportunities for our students, and we will continue to build on that momentum. In fact, this year has already begun with a very busy summer already with numerous, well-attended summer programs.

We are proud of the excellent academic opportunities we offer our students both before and after school. Additionally, our students are able to participate in numerous music, arts, athletics, and clubs. The Board is ever mindful of the importance of supporting our students’ growth academically as well as honing their various interests and talents. We are ready to take the next giant leap for the success of our students.

This is the fourth year in a row that we have been able to bring our community a school budget with a tax levy decrease while still expanding and improving upon our programs, staffing and facilities. Through our capital reserve fund, we have again accomplished many capital projects to enhance and upgrade our buildings and grounds at no additional cost to our taxpayers. As community members, the Board is attentive to both our educational and fiscal responsibility.

On behalf of the Board of Education, we are pleased to welcome you all back for another successful school year. We hope to see you at the numerous music and arts performances, athletic events, Parent Universities and other events in our schools this year. Please plan to attend our Board meetings as we appreciate your thoughtful input.
