BeachFest brings summer fun to Sea Cliff

Antigone Rising band mates Nini Camps, Kristen Ellis-Henderson, and Cathy Henderson hosted the 5th annual BeachFest on Saturday, June 30, at Sea Cliff Beach to celebrate and bring awareness to their nonprofit, Girls Rising. The centerpiece of the daylong music festival held was an outreach and panel discussion, giving those in attendance a glimpse into the work the band has done to promote gender equality.
BeachFest boasted two musical stages showcasing female artists from near and far. The free festival hosted specialty vendors like Robin Baskin Designs, Hillary De Roy and Peace Soap, Fabulous Faces face painting, RADD Crossfit Kids, Gritty Buddha Yoga, Hula Hoop Dance Party with Alison Lehrman, paddle board events by Kostal Paddle and more.
Residents enjoyed food, activities, and the arts throughout the day at the annual spectacle and watched the sunset over Hempstead Harbor before Antigone Rising took to the stage to round out the night.
