City Council unofficial results indicate strong support for Silverman

The unofficial results are in for the Glen Cove Democratic Primary for City Council. Annie Phillips came in first and Marsha Silverman, an independent, came in second, followed by Roger Williams, Andrew Bennett, and Gaitley Stevenson-Matthews. Marcela De La Fuente garnered 548 votes and the incumbent, Roderick Watson, had 545. At this point, Watson is out of the race, but with only three votes between him and De La Fuente, the results could change once they become official. More to follow.
