District students look to future in athletics

Seniors in the East Meadow School District were excited to announce the next steps in their academic and athletics careers by signing national letters of intent and celebratory letters for their college of choice.

East Meadow High School congratulated a total of 21 students who announced their college decision and athletic choice and W.T. Clarke High School honored 10 students who intend to continue an athletic career in college.

W.T. Clarke students include Gabe Armijo, who will be playing lacrosse at Dominican College, Anthony Caputo, who will be playing lacrosse at Pace University,

Austin Carman, who will be wrestling at Rhode Island College, Anthony Dilluvio, who will be playing baseball at St. Joseph’s College, Briella LaFata, who will be playing soccer at Farmingdale State College, Steven Lee, who will be playing baseball at Dominican College , Chris Lydon, who will be playing baseball at Concordia University, Karina Romero, who will be joining the track and field team at Molloy College, Leanna Tallon, who will be playing softball at SUNY Oneonta, and Brendan Turton, who will be playing baseball at Dominican College.

East Meadow athletes include Omar Benthami, who will be joining the track and field team at Molloy College, Eric Bernstein, who will be playing football for Towson University, James Ciampi, who will be playing ice hockey at Alvernia University, Charlie Cucchiara, who will be playing baseball at Molloy College, Julia Cuttone, who will be playing softball at Baruch College, Rosanna Cuttone who will be playing softball at York College, Arianna Duhs, who will join the cheerleading team at Adelphi University, Michael Loeffler, who will be playing football at SUNY Morrisville, Taylor Keicher, who will be playing lacrosse at the University of New Haven, Kayla Leary, who will be playing soccer at Fairfield University, Amy Mallah, who will be playing softball at SUNY Oneonta, Christian Marinello, who will be joining the cross-country track team at NYIT, Isabel Marsh, will be joining the track and field team at Adelphi University, Katherine Marsh, will be joining the track and field track team at Adelphi University, Tyler McManus, who will be playing lacrosse at Mitchell College, Tyler Patterson, who will be playing baseball at Dominican College, Meadow Perez, who will join the swimming team at Binghamton University, Julian Quaresima, who will be playing soccer at Long Island University, Rachel Rose, who will be joining the soccer and track and field teams at Ithaca College, Dylan Solenski, who will be playing football at Western Connecticut State, Bryan Villafuerte, who will be joining the cross-country track team at NYIT.
