Malverne kids close the generational gap

Posted

The Malverne community’s youngest members will bond with the eldest as part of Maurice W. Downing Primary School’s Student Council intergenerational connection program.
Students recently met with residents of Atria’s Assisted Living in Lynbrook to kick off the yearlong partnership that will also have Atria residents visiting Downing. They plan to serve as guest readers in every classroom. The program aims to bridge the generational gap between the two groups.
