North Shore Homecoming spurs Viking spirit

Posted

Though cloudy skies and rains washed away the parade and carnival, by noon the sun came out to shine for the 2018 North Shore Homecoming FanFest.

At 1 p.m., the stadium was filled for the pre-game show, which included the “Fan Favorite Run,” and performances by Pulse, drum line and North Shore’s cheerleaders. David Soto, the high school band conductor, led the pep band and drum line in the “Star Spangled Banner.” Then, the football team charged the field to a thunderous round of applause. While the Vikings did not triumph over Hewlett High School, their effort and sportsmanship was appreciated.

Many thanks to all the students, parents, alumni, community members, staff and administrators for joining in on the Homecoming fun.
