Sea Cliff parents schmooze for a good cause

Posted

On May 4, members of the Sea Cliff Elementary Parent Community Association took the night off to wine and dine at the Manor for its biennial gala, “Play, Learn, Grow.” Over a dozen parents worked on the event all year to bring Sea Cliff together to support the organization.

About 200 guests attended the event, including parents and faculty. The evening included live music, food and drinks, games, raffles, and a silent and live auction. Members of the community in support of the event generously donated the auction items. Parents were able to bid on vacations, private musical performances, one-of-a-kind private chef experiences, jewelry, beauty products and services, sports tickets and memorabilia, and much more. According to the event’s co-chair Lisa Cashman, this year’s fundraiser was a record-breaking one.

PCA raises money for school enrichment programs, and sponsors a wide variety of events including after school, the talent show “Jamboree,” science programming, the school play, gardening curriculum, as well as staff appreciation.
