A tap, or overhead line transformer broke at the intersection of Waterford and Redfield Roads in Island Park on Mar 2. As a result PSE & G spokesperson Elizabeth Flagler said 749 outages were reported in total. The outage was reported at 12:15 p.m., half the customers were back on line in 20 minutes, the rest were back on line by 2:12 p.m.
