Island Park FD responded to a car driven into the side of the Vivo Salon in Island Park.

An unidentified elderly man drove his auto into the side of Vivo salon located at 4000 Austin Blvd. Island Park Fire Chief Ed Madden said it was on the parking lot side. The Island Park FD responded for an early report of a person trapped, but they were able to extract him without the use of special equipment. The male driver and an unidentified female (from inside the store) were transported to a local hospital. The accident happened at 10 a.m., the store was opened at the time.
