Arrests

A 20-year-old woman, of Wantagh, and Ryan Davidow, 20, of Setauket, were arrested on August 14 at 12:45 a.m. on Lawrence Street in East Rockaway for possessing marijuana.

On August 15 at 9:55 p.m., a 26-year-old  man, of Amityville was arrested after an investigation involving Lynbrook detectives and the Nassau County Police Narcotics Bureau. Charges included two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of sale of a controlled substance (heroin and crack cocaine).

On August 16 at 6:11 a.m., a 21-year-old man, of Valley Stream was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a speed violation and failure to signal on Prospect Avenue in Lynbrook.


A 19 year old, of Lynbrook, working as a cashier at 7-11, 169 Atlantic Ave., was arrested on August 18 at 9:19 p.m., during an operation by Lynbrook detectives and charged with unlawfully dealing with a dChild after she sold alcoholic beverages to a minor.

On August 18 at 10:40 p.m., a 34-year-old man, of Freeport was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana on Vincent Avenue in Lynbrook.

A 39-year-old man, of Lynbrook was arrested August 18 at 10:45 p.m., and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (vicodin) on Vincent Avenue in Lynbrook.

On August 19, at 10:12 a.m., a 30-year-old, of Lawrence was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and fractured windshield on Peninsula Boulevard in Lynbrook.


Grand larceny


At 2:30 p.m. on August 16, a complainant reported that an unknown person removed bicycles from his garage on Pearsall Avenue. One was a blue men’s Cannondale Habit Se, and the other a black, white and green men’s Cannondale Supersix Ero. Total loss is estimated to be approximately $6,800. The theft occurred sometime between August 13 at 4 p.m. and August 16 at 6 a.m.
On August 13, between 10:30 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. the following day, someone entered the victim’s vehicle and took his EZ-Pass and Ipod mini on E. Voss Avenue in East Rockaway.

Identity theft

At 7:25 p.m. on August 16, someone reported that between July 24-26, an unknown person incurred several charges on his Credit One Visa without his permission. The total fraudulent charges totaled $446.72.
Grand larceny

At 11:30 a.m. on August 17, the, owner of U.S. Lumber, 8 Merrick Road reported that on July 8, an unknown person used a fraudulent credit card to pay for three hundred pieces of plywood. The total loss is $6,028.69.
Criminal mischief

At 5:10 p.m. on August 19, a complainant, a resident of Hollywood Avenue, reports that an unknown person used black marker to damage his grey 2010 Nissan Altima, which was parked in his driveway. The incident took place between 11:50 p.m. August 18 to 6 a.m. August 19. Total damage is estimated to be approximately $200.
Burglary

At 9:08 a.m. on August 20, the owner of West Hempstead Auto, 4 Ocean Ave., reported that sometime between 11:15 p.m. August 19 and 7 A.M. August 20, someone broke a window to gain access to the business and removed $500.00 in U.S. currency. Damage totaled approximately $25.
