At the Sept. 21 Island Park Board of Education meeting, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Rosmarie Bovino presented the annual SOAR Award (Superintendent’s Outstanding Appreciation Recognition) to this year’s three recipients. The SOAR Award honors individuals from the instructional and non-instructional areas for their exceptional work ethic, performance, and commitment to excellence.
This year’s SOAR Award winners are:
Instructional
- Laurie Goldschlag, Speech and Language Arts, Hegarty School
- Cathy Gerbino, Physical Education, Lincoln Orens Middle School
Non-Instructional
- Joanne Moustakos, Secretary to the Principal (Lincoln Orens Middle School)
