Police said Robert E. Dandrea, 38, of Fanwood Place, Huntington Station has been charged with second degree criminal possession of a weapon, four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh degree, and vehicle and traffic violations.

Recently Nassau County police have been seen patrolling in the Village of Island Park. Officers saw Dandrea, run a stop sign on while heading southbound on Quebec Road at Lancaster Road. Upon investigation of the black Toyota he was driving they found “several glassine envelopes” containing heroin, cocaine and a loaded .45-caliber Taurus semi-automatic pistol.
